"I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS..."

Every year, Crossroads Hospice Society hosts a signature fundraising event, our Treasures of Christmas Gala, to raise the funds necessary to provide compassionate, quality care for people with life-limiting illness and grief support for our community.

2020 has been a year full of unexpected change and continued perseverance. Like you, we have worked hard to adapt in this ever-changing world. To ensure the safety of the communities we serve, we knew our signature event would have to look different this holiday season. We committed to create an amazing, interactive and safe event that our communities could enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

We are excited to welcome you to our first ever, I’ll Be Home for Christmas Virtual Gala! On Saturday November 21st from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, dress up in your best festive wear and join us online! OUR GIVING TREES

Giving Trees are a special part of our Gala and a unique and wonderful way to pay it forward.

What are Giving Trees?

Giving Trees are part of our exciting silent auction. Beautifully designed and decorated Christmas trees will be auctioned off in support of Crossroads Hospice Society. The successful bidder will have the opportunity to make a personal impact on hospice care while making a difference in the lives of others.

Who Benefits from the Giving Trees?

100% of the funds raised from the Giving Tree Auction will go directly to Crossroads Hospice Society while the gifts under the trees will grant wishes for this year's special recipients in our community. Our first recipient is the Enchantment Project, an initiative that endeavors to provide high school graduates in need with formal attire so that they can attend their graduation festivities with pride. For our next recipient, we partnered with Tri-City Transitions who supports families experiencing domestic violence. The gifts under the tree from this Giving Tree will support a family in need.

Tax receipts will be issued for the full amount to each winning bidder for their generosity!

VIRTUAL TREE OF HEARTS

The Virtual Tree of Hearts provides an opportunity to remember and celebrate loved ones who are no longer with us during the holiday season. The Tree of Hearts is a lovely way to give thanks for the lives and treasured memories of family and friends who are no longer with us.

You are warmly invited to dedicate a heart ornament to honour someone special. The Crossroads Hospice Team will fill out the hearts in memoriam on our Tree of Hearts in time for the Virtual Gala.

In early December, the personalized memory hearts will be relocated to an outdoor lit tree at the Crossroads Hospice Labyrinth Healing Garden in Port Moody on Ioco Road for all to visit through February 2021.

We decided to make our program digital this year to save paper and be conscious of event costs.

Organized by
Crossroads Hospice Society
For over 31 years, Crossroads Hospice Society has had the honor of serving the communities of Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody. Our non-profit society supports our communities in three ways: through our 10-bed Hospice Residence, our Grief and Loss Support Centre, and our Thrift Store. We believe the end of life does not have to be scary, painful or lonely. We believe that no one has to walk their grief journey alone. We are committed to educating our communities about death, dying and grief. Through the programs and services we deliver, we care for our communities with compassion, respect, dignity and integrity. Our Mission: -Provide compassionate care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families -Support youth and adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one
