Kitchener Minor Girls Softball 50/50 Raffle

Our turf desperately needs to be replaced with a commercial grade product intended for the 8+ hours of use it sees daily, this is why we are conducting our first 50/50 raffle.

Kitchener Minor Girls softball is a not for profit organization that provides softball programs for girls aged 6 to 19 years old. These programs range in ability from learn to play all the way up to Tier 1 rep programs and serve more than 300-400 girls in an average season.

In 2020 we lost the ability to use school gyms; fitness centers and facilities were forced to restrict their numbers to a point that we were no longer able to work out and practice indoors. Our budget friendly school gyms were cancelled, businesses were forced to raise prices and limit time so they could keep their businesses afloat and we could no longer justify using these rented spaces while trying to keep costs affordable for our families.

In January 2021, our association used pretty much every last penny we had took a leap of faith and we rented and outfitted our own space to use as a training facility. The Klassics Turfhouse was born. Our space, on Gage Avenue in Kitchener, houses 4 batting lanes that opens up into a 3,000 square foot turfed space that can be used for drills and other team activities. When we opened we purchased used turf, it was what we could afford at the time. 3 off-seasons later it has seen its day, it served us well and got us up and running but now its in dire need of repair. Seams and worn areas are starting to become dangerous by way of tripping hazard and bad bounces of balls.

With the help from you, our community, families and friends we will be able to continue our programs for all of our athletes.
