PYCO Virtual Ensembles

We're excited to share the virtual ensemble videos that the PYCO students worked so hard to prepare! We're also having a competition between the four sections of PYCO (strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion). Who will raise the most funds on average per student? Donate to root for the section you want to win!

Follow the ensemble links below to watch the performances. You have until 11:59 pm this Saturday, July 4th to donate. Thank you for your generosity!

Why should I donate?

We believe deeply in our commitment to young musicians. Help us raise funds to allow PYCO to continue providing learning opportunities, purchase instruments, equipment and music, and offset the costs that keep our many ensembles and programs running so that we can provide services to students in financial need. Your support will enhance the lives of our young musicians, help them to grow in their love of music, and allow them to share their talents with the community.

Organized by
Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra
The Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra (PYCO) educates and trains young musicians to pursue excellence in performance of both chamber music and symphonic repertoire. PYCO was founded in 2006 by current Artistic Director, Pablo Ardiles. Formerly the Pittsburgh Youth Chamber Orchestra, PYCO began as a chamber orchestra comprised of 18 students and has since expanded to a full symphonic orchestra with additional ensembles and programs, serving 200 young musicians and their families. The Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra offers opportunities for string, woodwind, brass, percussion and harp players in grades 4 to 12. Our core values are a love of learning, the pursuit of excellence, and the joy of musical performance.
