Opening Ceremonies and Retro Gaming Night
The Kicking It Old School - Retro Gaming Challenge is the KICK OFF and Opening Ceremonies for THE SUPER MEGA ULTIMATE TECHATHLON. This will be a head to head Mario Kart Challenge in the Innovation Centre theatre with one person from each team playing. Invite co-workers, friends and fellow gaming enthusiasts to attend and CHEER YOU ON for the WIN! Top 3 teams get points towards the 8 week challenge and ultimate bragging rights. Other throwback games, yummy food and bevies will be provided.

The Okanagan Tech sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the Okanagan and one of their biggest problems is a lack of talent. Many at risk youth in the Okanagan are not exposed to career opportunities in the tech sector, so the United Way CSO, together with several community partners, started CODEanagan. The program provides disadvantaged youth (ages 16-22) with opportunities in the tech sector.
