Westmount Tradition Charity Tennis Tournament

Last year, the Westmount Tradition Charity Tennis Tournament raised over $109,000 to help the 1 in 10 households in Waterloo Region struggling to put food on their tables.


This year, the tournament will be held June 14 to 16, 2024 and includes a silent auction. Bidding begins June 1.


Funds raised from the 2024 tournament will once again support The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.

Raffle Rules of Play

RULES OF PLAY FOR DRAW AND EARLY BIRD DRAWS License #RAF1375791

1. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered from the province of Ontario.

2. An eligible player may participate by purchasing 50/50 tickets https://thefoodbank.ca/5050. Purchasers must provide their first name, last name, address, telephone number, and e-mail as part of the purchase process.

3. Tickets will be sold using an electronic raffle system supplied by Trellis.

4. Tickets can be purchased for 1 number for $10; 10 numbers for $20; 50 numbers for $50 or 150 for $100.

5. Draw: Ticket Sales - Starting at 12:00 am on May 1, 2024 to June 15, 2023 until 8:30 pm. Draw to take place on June 15, 2024 at 9:00 pm at Westmount Golf and Country Club, 50 Inverness Dr. Kitchener, Ontario. This draw will be 50% of the total sales for the raffle.

6. Early Bird / Cash Draws:

a. All tickets purchased between May 1, 2024 at or after 12:00 am and May 16, 2024 at 11:59 pm will be entered into the early bird prize draw. It is possible for the same number to win both the early bird prize draw and the grand prize. The draw for the early bird prize draw will take place May 17, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, 50 Alpine Court, Kitchener, Ontario. May 17, 2024 Early Bird Prize: $500.

b. All tickets purchased between May 1, 2024 at or after 12:00 am and May 30, 2024 at 11:59 pm will be entered into the early bird prize draw. It is possible for the same number to win both the early bird prize draw and the grand prize. The draw for the early bird prize draw will take place May 31, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, 50 Alpine Court, Kitchener, Ontario. May 31, 2024 Early Bird Prize: $500.

7. After buying, patrons will be emailed a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.

8. The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing the AGCO registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG) from all raffle numbers sold for the draw.

9. The following individuals are prohibited from ordering a ticket: all employees of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, and all of the organization's board members.

10. One cash prize will be awarded for the draw, the winning ticket will be posted on https://thefoodbank.ca/5050. The holder of the winning ticket will be contacted subsequent to the draw using contact information provided at time of purchase. The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is not responsible for difficulties arising in contacting the winner due to the winner entering erroneous contact information at the time of purchase.

11. The winner must verify their identity by supplying two pieces of identification that includes their name and address. One piece of identification must be government issued and include a photo and date of birth.

12. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, 50% of the total sales for the draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

13. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning number will be recorded and the prize held for six months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will donated to a local charity with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

15. Ticket purchases are non-refundable.

16. The Food Bank of Waterloo Region may publish the winner’s first name and the initial of the winner’s last name on The Food Bank 50/50 website https://thefoodbank.ca/5050 and in social media.
