By far the biggest and most impactful event of the year, we can’t wait to introduce a touch of fancy to your crisp November evening!

We’ll envelop and entertain you in our new home, whether you’re a long-time member of the Lyceum family or a plus one for the night. Either way, you’ll feel just as welcome and we can guarantee you’ll leave feeling like a friend from years gone by. 

This year we have an extraordinary silent auction, one we’re sure is our best yet, with firm favourites like: 

• Pender Harbour getaway at superhost Brook’s Nook
• Saturnas Island retreat including a wine tasting at Sage-Hayward Vineyards

Of course, we will never neglect to highlight what the Lyceum does best; offer engaging interactions with some of the most beloved authors from BC and beyond. 

We’ll serve up tasters of our literary offerings in the weeks to come that will tantalize and tease, but the best way to be in the know is to snag yourself a ticket by calling, emailing, or stopping by. 

If you simply cannot choose between our silent auction items (and decision making just feels too difficult), fear not, there is another way to give. Through any of our creative avenues, you, your business, or a group of friends can donate either a term or a year to our scholarship bank.

Each year Lyceum artists, writers and creators play a pivotal part in our annual fundraiser, actualizing pieces that go a long way in supporting our scholarship fund. It is indeed heartwarming to witness how the act of working to help others facilitates the development of a communal social conscience. 

This is an opportunity for us as a community to nurture their sense of social responsibility and demonstrate that we value their efforts to represent the images they imagine using a medium that is challenging. Indeed, some of the pieces that have been created surpass the work of adults who have joined our tiling art nights in the past. 

We hope that you enjoy what you see, not only as a piece of art and poetry, but as a symbol of the hope our next generation holds for a humanist society. Each child has given their time and energy to support classmates who may be less fortunate and in so doing have also fed their confidence as creatives.
