Who?   Who should attend this event? Chapter Presidents, President-Elects, any other chapter board member representing your chapter, Board members of AFP Canada and the Canada Foundation and national committee members. Local chapter members are always welcome.

What?   What will we do? We will discuss a number of important topics for our profession in Canada including truth and reconciliation, ethics and trust, to name but a few. Guest speakers with expertise in truth and reconciliation will join us this year.

Where?  This year's Retreat will be held on the Vancouver campus the University of British Columbia. We have three options for accommodation in the residences on campus at various price points.  Book your stay today. Note: availability cannot be guaranteed after June 24, 2019.

When?  The 2019 Canadian Leadership Retreat will take place from July 25-27 in Vancouver, BC.

Why?  Leaders from across Canada meet once a year to discuss the fundraising profession in our country. This is one of the BEST AFP meetings of the year. It offers an opportunity for leaders to contribute to important national initiatives led by AFP Canada and the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy - Canada. This annual meeting is also a great time to meet other leaders and learn about what’s working in their chapters and how they are dealing with challenges. 

How? We are pleased to offer you the option to register for the retreat online. The fee is $275 which includes dinner on Thursday, breakfast and lunch and a chapter-hosted reception on Friday and breakfast on Saturday. Note: the application deadline for travel stipends is June 15.
