Alberta SPCA 2023 Christmas Cash Lottery Rules and Regulations for Licence #651645
Lottery tickets shall not be sold to a person under the age of 18 years. Adult ticket buyers are advised not to write the name of a person under the age of 18 years on the ticket stub.
Employees and Board members of the Alberta SPCA, and/or members of their immediate family (spouse, parents, children or siblings) that reside in the same household, are not eligible to purchase tickets. Administrators of the Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) and/or members of their immediate family (spouse, parents, children or siblings) that reside in the same household, are not eligible to purchase tickets.
Tickets may be purchased and sold in Alberta only.
Total ticket value is $430,000. Tickets are available as follows:
Series A (Blue): 3,000 tickets for $25 each
Series B (Green): 3,500 sets of 3 tickets for $60
Series C (Purple): 1,450 sets of 6 tickets for $100
There are a total of 22,200 tickets available
Tickets will be emailed to purchasers by the ERS whenever possible. Tickets will only be mailed to purchasers who do not provide a valid email address.
All draws will be made at the Alberta SPCA head office at 17904 118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 2W3 by a person who does not have a ticket or interest in the draw. Winners will be determined by the ERS Random Number Generator (RNG).
All draws are recorded and witnessed by (at minimum) two elected executives (or designate) of the Alberta SPCA and one member of the public. Members of the public may view the recording or attend the draws. All costs incurred with participating in these activities are the responsibility of the individual, not the Alberta SPCA.
Purchaser and transaction files are continuously backed up by the ERS. In the unexpected event of a power failure the draw will be postponed and take place immediately once power has been restored.
Ticket orders must be received by 11:59 p.m. on November 21, 2023 for guaranteed eligibility for the early bird draws on December 1, 2023. Ticket orders must be received by 11:59 p.m. on December 5, 2023 for guaranteed eligibility for the final draws on December 15, 2023.
If all tickets are sold on or prior to November 21, 2023 all draws will be made on December 1, 2023 with AGLC approval. If all tickets are not sold by November 21, 2023 the final draw for all remaining prizes will be held on December 15, 2023. The Early Bird prizes will be drawn in the following order: 2 prizes of $10,000 each. The final prizes will be drawn in the following order: 25 prizes of $1,000 each, 5 prizes of $2,000 each, 2 prizes of $5,000 each, 1 grand prize of $25,000. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all additional prizes.
Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or email within seven (7) days of the draw and by mail if they cannot be contacted by telephone or email. The prize winner has three (3) months from the draw date to collect their prize.
If a winner has been notified by telephone and/or email and/or registered mail and the prize is not claimed within three (3) months, the Alberta SPCA will contact the AGLC for permission to award the prize to the Alberta SPCA.
Prizes are presented in the form of a cheque in the name of the ticket winner. Prizes will be either mailed to the winner, or they can be picked up by the winner at 17904 118 Ave Edmonton AB during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
In the event a winning ticket has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. The Alberta SPCA and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.
No ticket refunds will be given after the draw is made. Ticket refunds may take up to four weeks to process, and refunds may be issued to original method of payment or by cheque.
A minimum of 11,000 tickets must be sold by November 21, 2023. If 11,000 tickets are not sold by this date the Alberta SPCA reserves the right to contact the AGLC and ask for both sales and draw date extensions.
