Ghia Aweida
Ghia Aweida is a Lebanese born Canadian writer who enjoys creative writing, swimming, and reading. She is enriched by the rich Arabic and Old English poetry that enhance her talent.
Shirley Xiaoli Cao
Freelance writer, poet, translator and real estate investor. She has published a collection of essays collected in Jiajie de shu: cong dongfang dao xifang (Grafted Tree: from East to West).
William Chan
Author of 30 books, William Chan has held various positions, such as news reporter, editor, television playwright, and editor-in-chief. He graduated with a major in Journalism and Communication from the University of East Asia, Macao. He is currently Director, Manager and Editor-in-Chief of Wah Hon Publishing Co. and W & Y Cultural Products Co. He currently serves as executive chair of the Chinese Canadian Writers’ Association, and Vice-President of the World Chinese Literature Association.
Joanne Arnott
Joanne Arnott (Métis/Mixed Blood), Shadbolt Fellow, writer, editor, arts activist, received the League of Canadian Poets’ Gerald Lampert Award (1992) and the Vancouver Mayor’s Arts Award for Literary Arts (2017). Mother to six young people, all born at home in BC. Poetry Mentor for The Writers Studio/SFU. Poetry Editor for EVENT Magazine.
Lifen Chen
Lifen Chen (penname Green Leaf), a board member of the Chinese Canadian Writers’ Association, has published essays, short stories and poetry in many literary journals and newspapers. She attended a program in the Lu Xun Literary Institute, and won the top prize in the “Global Chinese News Literary Prize. Currently she is working on three collections of poetry.
Dongdong
Dongdong, a poet and lawyer, has published five poetry collections: A LONELY SAIL, SONG OF CHINA SEAS, BORN FOR LOVE, THE WORLD STARTS FROM HEART, and NOWHERE TO PLACE. His poetry collection A LONELY SAIL has been selected as Top Ten Best Ocean Poems and the Excellence Award in Beautiful China —— World Chinese Poetry Contest.
Bill Zeng
Pen name: Feng Mei. Poet, writer and visual artist, graduate degree. As a writer and painter, he has published numerous poems, essays and short stories, and held many exhibitions. Dozens of his art works have been collected by professional institutions and celebrities in China and abroad.
Qing Yang
Qing Yang, a graduate of Fudan University with a literature major; has published two poetry collections The Night is Old and Ink Crossflow, a story collection Ah Q Crooked Biography, Black Moon, and prose collection Song to the Sea. Her poems appeared in various Chinese newspapers in Vancouver, and are included in various collections. She obtained the third place in poetry in the First Canadian Chinese Literature Award.
Andrew Parkin
Andrew Parkin has been a university professor in Canada and in Hong Kong. He has published twenty-eight books some of which are drama criticism and also his own original poetry. His two novels are Private Dancers or Responsible Women and Bruno's Secret. He is revising a third novel to complete this anti-terrorist trilogy. He lives in Vancouver, Canada.
Joseph Synn Kune Loh
Joseph Synn Kune Loh was born in China and grew up in Hong Kong.
While doing graduate study in Cultural Psychology at Queen's University in Ontario, a trip to Paris led to a change in career. Three decades of making art led to writing as a companion expression of creativity. He released a meditation CD "Return to the Boundless Light," a biographical novel "Ping Pong, and the Art of Staying in the game" in 2018, and a book of poetry titled, "A Journey to Camatkara" in 2012.
