Garrett Lockhart is an artist residing and working in Tkarón:to/Toronto whose practice reorients found materials and waste toward investigating ecology, harnessing the power of chance, and crafting futures. Recent solo exhibitions have been held at Pumice Raft (Toronto); Afternoon Projects (Vancouver); and PS311 (Ottawa). Their work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at KS28, Laurel Project Space, and Tilde (Amsterdam); Gazebo (Delaware); and Collision's Craft (Baltimore). They are a current participant in the Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art 2022: Deep Ecology in the Cognitive Capitalocene (New York) and will be showing new work with Apparatus Projects (Chicago); Hunt Gallery and Joys (Toronto); and April April (New York)in late 2022.
