Raffle Rules of Play
  1. Cambridge Food Bank is a non-profit corporation serving the communities of Cambridge and North Dumfries with a mission to build health and belonging through food. Registered charitable organization tax number: 890658743 RR0001.
  2. The lottery will take place from April 3, 2023 through May 31, 2023.
  3. Raffle is operated under Provincial Lottery License No. RAF1303585 and is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario. Tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older and residents of Ontario.
  4. Tickets are 5 for $20, 25 for $50, and 100 for $100.
  5. Tickets will only be available via https://trellis.org/cfb; purchasers must provide their first name, last name, address, telephone number, and e-mail as part of the purchase process.
  6. Tickets will be sold using a certified online raffle system supplied by Trellis.
  7. After buying, purchasers will be presented tickets via email with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System.
  8. Tickets cannot be transferred or resold to another party.
  9. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the period of the raffle.
  10. The amount of the 50/50 will be broadcast and updated on the website https://trellis.org/cfb
  11. The winning number will be featured on the website https://trellis.org/cfb after the draw (12:00 pm EST, June 1, 2023); additionally, the winner will be contacted via telephone and e-mail within 4 weeks of the draw date per the information they submit at the time of online purchase.
  12. Upon verification of the winner’s identity and age, by presenting a valid provincial or federal photo identification card (i.e., driver’s license, firearm possession permit, passport, etc.), the winner will be sent payment by cheque to the address provided at time of ticket purchase.
  13. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
  14. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is 50% of the total sales for the raffle. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
  15. The winner’s name will be posted on the website, https://trellis.org/cfb, and publicized via Cambridge Food Bank’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

  20. If the prize is not claimed the winning number will be placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at the end of six (6) months, the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize will be donated to a beneficiary approved by the AGCO.
  21. Employees and members of their Board of Directors of Cambridge Food Bank are prohibited to purchase tickets and/or winning the raffle prize.
