Thank you Welland
On Saturday, November 5th Welland responded generously and cheerfully to the 90+ teams out collecting donations! The shelves at Open Arms Mission, The Hope Centre and Salvation Army are filled to meet the ongoing needs in our community.
In addition to the 60,000 pounds of food that was donated we also received almost $30,000 in monetary donations, which will be split among the 3 charities to help purchase food supplies needed in our food banks.
Our online donations for 2022 are now closed! If you would like to make a donation online you can do so by visiting your charity of choice's website, listed below.

The Welland Food Drive Celebrating 31 Years of Giving!
It is that time again! The Welland community has come together to stock the shelves of the food banks in our city for over three decades and it is expected that this year is no exception.
The Food Drive this year will be on Saturday, November 5.
About the Process
We are thrilled to announce that we will be resuming door-to-door collection this year as well as continuing with the on-line donation format.
Over the past couple of years, Welland residents and businesses have had an opportunity to donate online and receive a tax receipt. We are grateful for all financial donations. They can be made by clicking on the "donate" button above.
Door-to-door collection is back! The collection of what usually ends up being tons and tons of food in a three-hour window is as it had been before COVID. Welland residents are asked to put their food donations at their front doors by 10:00 a.m. on November 5. Sometime shortly after that some 80+ teams of people will scour the street, collecting the food donated.
The food donations are brought to Club Richelieu on River Road where it is boxed and distributed between Open Arms Mission, the Hope Center and the Salvation Army for those who require a little help in the months to come.
