Chicks with Sticks 2022

Chicks with Sticks was started in 2016 by a amazing group of lady golfers that noticed there was a way to have a great time while golfing, and also raise funds in support of our local community. This fantastic and fun annual golf tournament (held at Black Mountain Golf Course) is volunteer-run with eight board members. Since its inception in 2016, Chicks with Sticks has raised $126,000.00 in funds! Quite the accomplishment, and something that we are incredibly proud of! This was achieved with the generous support of donations from businesses and individuals, and of course the wonderful ladies that play our tournament.

This year our event will be in support of Foundry Kelowna. They are a local organization that campaigns for positive mental health support right here, in the Okanagan.

Our success is truly a reflection of how passionate we are in regard to Foundry Kelowna and their advocacy for mental health.

What's The Cause ?

Funds from the 2022 Chicks with Sticks Charity Golf Tournament will be directed to Youth Navigation at Foundry Kelowna.

Youth Navigators are vital in connecting young people to the right help at the right time. They are trusted individuals who work directly with young people to identify their individual needs and assist in building social and life skills so they can thrive. Youth Navigators provide obstacle-free access to the resources, services and care to navigate life’s large and small challenges. Whether it’s treatment for depression, anxiety, or problematic substance use; a family doctor they trust; connections to employment, housing, or educational supports; peers who can help destigmatize their experiences; or faster access to more specialized psychiatric care. We continue to see high demand for this service, which is why we are expanding and offering it as part of Foundry Kelowna’s Wellness on Wheels.

Your support means that youth throughout the Central Okanagan will have access to Youth Navigation as part of Foundry Kelowna’s Wellness on Wheels.
