CMHA Kamloops Ride Don't Hide

During Mental Health Week (May 2-8) Canadian Mental health Association - Kamloops Branch will kick off our annual Ride Don’t Hide Fundraiser. Like recent years, this event will be run a little differently. Without there being the traditional community ride participants are encouraged to get moving on their own, for their mental health. You can purchase tickets to our dinner event on June 5th on this platform or find us at the band shell in Riverside Park on June 26th, 2022 where we'll be celebrating all of our participants, funds raised and conversations started. We'll be sure to have some fun for all ages!

For May and June we have an activity calendar, giving opportunities for people to connect, move and fundraise.

The Ride Don’t Hide Movement began in August of 2010 when Michael Schratter began a solo cycling trip around the world. Over the following year and a half, he had cycled 40 000 kilometers across 6 continents and 33 countries.

The stigma around mental illness prevents people from seeking the help they need. Ride Don’t hide aims to start conversations to reduce the stigma, while fundraising money to expand local programs and help more people get the support they need to be mentally healthy.
