CNAM - Asset Management Awareness Workshop

Due to the popularity and demand for CNAM’s AM Awareness Workshop we are taking the session online!

These sessions will be delivered virtually in an online classroom to allow people to attend the course without having to travel.  You will be posted a hard copy of the learning materials in advance of the sessions, and to make the session as interactive as possible attendees will be encouraged to use their webcams and take part in discussions just as if it was a face to face session.

Spaces will be limited to make sure it’s an effective learning environment so register soon to secure your place!

Our regular 1-day course will be split into two half day sessions on different days – your registration covers you for both sessions.

Part 1 – Intro to AM and Benefits

Thursday, February 13, 2020

9am to 12.30pm PST (12noon to 3.30pm EST)

Part 2 – How to get started

Thursday, February 20, 2020

9am to 12.30pm PST (12noon to 3.30pm EST)

These sessions are appropriate for Elected Officials and Municipal / Organization Staff who will leave the workshops with:

  • a better understanding of what asset management is,
  • why it should be undertaken and the benefits to your community,
  • what it entails and how to begin implementation with some tangible steps.

This is relevant for all municipalities, regardless of your size and location, or whether or not you have made any progress with asset management to date. The face-to-face session will enable participants to connect with peers, network with other municipalities who practice asset management at varying levels, and provide a safe environment conducive to knowledge sharing and collaborating.

The Canadian Network of Asset Managers (CNAM) is the association of public infrastructure asset management in Canada. Our government and private sector members develop policy, tools and technologies which improve the level of service for public infrastructure assets in every province and territory. CNAM shares that knowledge with other members and stakeholders through our online resources, the annual conference and various committees and events.
