The 2020 Citizen of the Year Awards -

Virtual for the times!

The Maple Ridge Community Foundation is a proud, community-based organization and the health, wellness and safety of our Maple Ridge residents is of utmost importance to us.

For this reason, given the current COVID-19 health concerns, to ensure the health and safety of our community, our event will be hosted online, for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home!

At this event we are pleased to recognize three outstanding volunteers with our Citizen of the Year Awards. We will award three individuals in the following categories: Citizen of the Year Lifetime Achievement, 40 & Under, and Youth (18 & Under).

CELEBRATE IN STYLE!

Get ready to join us online in style! From tux and tails to cocktail to country casual…we look forward to celebrating a black and white theme in whatever style you choose to celebrate in! Even though we can't physically be together, and celebrate in the usual dinner & dance fashion, we're bringing the same exciting event to you in the comfort of your home!

Our 2.0 version of our Citizen of the Year event has all the familiar elements of our annual event: dinner* (option to be delivered to your door), recognition of finalists, award presentations in 3 categories, entertainment, silent and live auctions and more! Together, we'll raise funds to continue the work we do, and honour those special people in our community that do so much.

In keeping with our original Black & White event theme, dress in your best black or white ensemble, log on and dine with us in style from the comfort of your own home! Help us build a better community, together. We'll even have a chance for you to WIN by sharing your version of black & white style!

COVID-19 is dramatically affecting the way we live, but it isn’t changing who we are or our ability to celebrate together. Join us on October 24th to showcase our our volunteer heroes and our community's strength and resilience!
