Scott and Rosey Anderson

Scott and Rosey Anderson love to dance, they have attended previous DWTSS events which they describes as “a wonderful fun evening for the Salmon Arm community”.

Both are excited for the opportunity to help fund raise for Hospice and showcase their love of dance. They have taken lessons with City Dance so know how challenging it can be to master a dance in 8 weeks.

Rosey has had participating in DWSS on her bucket list for some time, so this year she will get to cross it off.

Scott should be known to many as the current Principal A.L. Fortune in Enderby and a longtime football coach in the area. Rosey takes an active interest in women’s health issues and is an avid soccer supporter.

Thomas Briginshaw &

Lizzy Odell

Thomas and Lizzy are relative newcomers to our community, having arrived here three years ago from Ontario. Thomas is the Executive Director and Literacy Outreach Coordinator at the Literacy Alliance of the Shuswap. His work involves helping seniors learn how to use technology and teaching children to read, and was recently recognized as one of Salmon Arm’s Top 20 Under 40. Great job, Thomas!

Lizzy moved from her family farm, which produces dairy, chicken and crops. She studied music at university and offers piano lessons when not working the Fashion Department at Walmart. If Lizzy has any time to spare she will be found working her way through the Rolling Stones Magazines 500 Greatest Albums.

Thomas and Lizzy are both avid sports fans, and even stopped in Chicago on their way out west to see their favourite New England Patriots play. They also enjoy playing games of all sorts, including ladder ball, Ticket to Ride, and attending local trivia nights.

James & Chantelle Burgess

James and Chantelle Burgess grew up in the Shuswap, they met in high school and have been together ever since. They have two beautiful daughters, Mckenzie and Madison, as well as two spoiled labs, Marley and Blue.

James has worked with Lordco Auto Parts for 19 years, and works as the Regional Manager. When James is not spending time with his family or working, you will find him in his garage working on anything with wheels. Chantelle has worked with SASCU for 7 years, and works in the Human Resources and Training Department. Chantelle enjoys music, art and is an avid foodie. James and Chantelle fill their days with camping, fitness and spending time with friends and family in the beautiful Shuswap area.

Other than dancing in the kitchen with their girls, James and Chantelle's last dance together was at their wedding. They are very excited to take on the challenge of learning a new skill together. James and Chantelle have used our local hospice services in the past and know how important their role is in our community. They are very excited to learn something new and step out of their comfort zone to raise money for Shuswap Hospice Society.

Ed & Natalie Parent

Ed and Natalie are enthusiastic supporters of the Salmon Arm Community and Hospice. They welcome the challenge to participate in this years Dancing with the Shuswap Stars.

Ed is the owner of Ed’s World of Critters and Supplies, the only locally owned and operated pet store in Salmon Arm. Natalie works in Special Education for School District 83. They have two boys Nick and Brandon and a beloved Aussie Doodle called Murphy.

Both Ed and Natalie enjoy mountain biking, skiing and the outdoor life of the Shuswap. Ed has not had dance lessons but thinks he will pick it up. Natalie has some experience with dance lessons in Jazz and Hawaiian so will bring her A game. What ever the outcome they know they will have had fun and will celebrate raising funds for Hospice.

Chris & Morgen Matheson

Chris and Morgen are relatively new to the Shuswap and couldn’t be happier with this move. Coming from the coast has been a wonderful change for both their young boys and recent addition of a very pampered pooch.

Chris is the Vice-Principal at A.L.Fortune in Enderby and Morgen works with Salmon Arm Economic Development. They both admit that their dance moves are limited, and they look forward to some formal training. They may not retire the Bus Driver or Sprinkler any time soon but are excited to add what they learn to their repertoire of fun moves to the dance floor.
