Elemental Change

Elemental change is a small business in central Okanagan made up by three individuals, two being adults and the other being a student. This campaigns purpose is to use 'recycled' wood leftover from carpentry projects that usually get left behind, thrown out or eventually makes it way into the trash making it unusable. This campaign has found a purpose for this wood, so it will not go to waste. The wood will be used to create shelves, the shelves themselves will represent the elements: Air,🜁 Fire,🜂 Water🜄 and Earth🜃. The shelves can be used for herbs, spices, crystals, small trinkets, or really anything you want to use them for.

The goal eventually for Elemental change is that it will also sell things such as crystals and incense to go with the shelves or things related to the product. These shelves will impact two of the United Nations sustainable goals. The first one being goal number three which ensures good health and well-being. Our shelves can impact a persons well being and most likely improve their mental state. the last one being goal 12 which ensures sustainable, responsible use of consumption and production.

How our product is made and how it is different than others

We start by grabbing some extra wood left over from carpentry projects and begin to cut it down to the correct width, height and length. Then, we proceed to sand down the wood to give it a better finish. Afterwards we grab our stain, then begin to stain the wood and leave it to dry. After the wood is dry the product is finished and ready to be shipped. The reason our shelves differ is because we use recycled wood that didn't get used during carpentry projects otherwise, if that wood does not get used it tends to go to a landfill. By making these shelves we are ensuring responsible use of consumption and production. Our shelves have a unique style like no other, they can fit many small things while still being stylish and fitting for any home. The shelves will differ in colors and eventually size too.

Who are we?

We are a father, mother, daughter trio team who makes shelves together, to strive to make the world a better place and to make your home more homey.

Why donate?

The reason we are asking for donations is to make a sustainable amount of money to begin processing and making these shelves, to get started we are going to have to invest in shipping materials. If our goal is raised to $1000, we will first start off by spending around $300 on bubble mailers for the shelves, then we will create around 100-200 business cards and many instruction pamphlets to go along with the shelves. Making this should cost between $150-200. After we have prepared the majority of our shipping stuff, the rest of our donations would go towards wood supplies, nail hooks and high quality stain to make our shelves the best quality.

One of our many goals for this business is for people to realise it is okay to be different, to have your own traditions, beliefs, style, personality and identity. Every one is their own person and every individual you know are different in their own way. Buying this product will not only improve the interior of your home or workspace, it will also help the environment.
