OYP GLEAN Part 1: Building Legacy

Join JCI Kelowna at the first OYP GLEAN Okanagan event! This will be a series of fireside conversations on interesting and relevant topics with some of the Okanagan’s inspiring leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

The JCI Kelowna + OYP GLEAN experience is designed to be a hybrid of storytelling and interactive discussion focusing on different themes (Ex. Building Legacy, Creating Impact, Scaling your Business) and curated with speakers who can share a unique insight to the conversation. Think TED talk meets SxSW fireside chats.

The theme for this first event will be Building Legacy where we'll hear the stories and strategies of what it means to build an incredible legacy for yourself and the community. Bring your questions and an open mind.

Our Inspiring Speakers:
Steve Wandler
When he returned to Canada from a successful stint in Silicon Valley, Steve Wandler saw the need to create a way for startup entrepreneurs to start meaningful connections with mentors and VC’s and started Metabridge to do just that. Since its inception, the non-profit organization has evolved to the largest sold out invitational two-day retreat in Canada with additional programs Las Vegas, Austin and San Francisco.

He is also the Co-founder of FreshGrade, a learning collaboration, and portfolio platform focused on the challenges of communicating learning through Formative Assessment. With over $20M in Venture funding, the company is cementing itself in classrooms in North America as the accessible alternative to traditional report cards.
