HCCF Evening With Bishop Crosby - Virtual Edition

Help us to continue to say "yes we can help" to students with financial barriers to learning.

The Evening with Bishop Crosby is always such a wonderful gathering of the Halton Catholic Community.

Although we will not be able to meet in person this year, we can still gather virtually as a community to help students to overcome financial barriers to learning.

We are planning something much more than just your typical video meeting. We are planning an entertaining experience where you can connect with your friends and hear Bishop Crosby's stories, sense of humour and wisdom. We will also be celebrating Bishop Crosby's 11th Anniversary since he was installed as the Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton.

We hope to bring you a joyful and fun experience that will warm your heart.

Hold a watch party with your household or community group

Enjoying a meal with others has always been an important part of the HCCF Evening with Bishop Crosby.

Why not enjoy a meal and your favourite beverage together as a household or safely with your community group following health protocols and procedures (i.e. Knights of Columbus, Catholic Women's League).

Request to join others as part of a Virtual "Table" during the event.

Perhaps support a local restaurant, and encourage others to do the same in their household.

Our faith guides us to help our neighbours in need. Education directly influences students’ life chances – and life outcomes. This year is proving to be an even greater challenge for low-income students and their families. As a community, we need to support our neighbours in need now more than ever.

This year also marks the 11th anniversary of the installment of Bishop Crosby as the Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton. We will be recognizing Bishop Crosby's wonderful support of students in need, and of Catholic Education over the past 11 years.

Halton Catholic Children's Foundation (HCCF)
WHO WE ARE The Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation (HCCF) is an independent charity. We have partnered with the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) to support their students and families in need throughout Halton (Acton, Burlington, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville). We raise funds to help HCDSB students overcome financial barriers to learning, which helps our students succeed in school. WHAT WE DO As a Catholic Community, we are called by Jesus to care for others. We meet this calling by providing Hope, Dignity, and Equity to students and families in need. We raise funds to help cover costs for: - Basic necessities, such as food and clothing, school supplies, shoes, eyeglasses, personal hygiene items, and learning technology - School activities with a fee, such as school trips, team fees, and other learning materials
