Working together throughout BC…“to enhance through education and support, the lives of children, youth and families who are living with congenital or acquired heart disease.” Established in 1983, the Children’s Heart Network (CHN) is a provincial charitable. Approximately 1 in every 100 children born has some form of CHD. Approximately 500 children are diagnosed each year in BC with heart disease. Half of these children will require medical intervention. With innovative medical and surgical techniques, most children with heart disease have every opportunity to lead full and productive lives. The CHN hosts events and camps that allow children and their parents to connect and support each other as they travel long their heart journey. In addition, we provide education sessions, support groups and CPR training for parents and care-givers.
