Homebase 2023

After a record-breaking year, one of the community’s most beloved family sports events is squaring up to hit another fundraising home run for the KGH Foundation. The Gorges-Comeau Homebase Charity All-Star Game & Slo-Pitch Tournament will take place Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, in Kelowna. Raymond James is also back as the presenting sponsor. This year, all funds raised will be in support of the KGH Foundation’s mental health campaigna commitment to addressing the mental health care crisis right here at home.

Homebase started in 2018, as an idea from Josh Gorges (former Kelowna Rocket’s captain), who grew up in Kelowna and returns home each summer. Together with his friend and fellow Rockets alumni Blake Comeau, they rallied other NHL players and their families to participate – and Homebase was born. Last year's Homebase raised a record-breaking $242,000 for mental health care!

KGH Foundation
The KGH Foundation was established in 1978 to support the growing demand by local philanthropists to close the gap between the provincial standard and what is possible in the delivery of advanced medical care in the southern interior. We are the lead fundraising organization for the Kelowna General Hospital and its associated care facilities, JoeAnna’s House and the Central Okanagan Hospice House.
