Join us for a virtual housewarming!
Helping With Furniture is pleased to invite you to our 14th annual gala! This past year, HWF moved into a new warehouse and we would love for all of you to join us in celebration of all of the good work we've been able to do during this challening time. Along with our MC Wendy Daniels and our keynote speaker Catherine McKenney, we'll raise a glass to our volunteers and celebrate the new beginings for our clients.
Purchase a ticket to the broadcast only or add a take-home meal experience prepared by Culinary Conspiracy, along with some bubbles from City Seltzer.
Take a moment to check out our silent auction, filled with items big and small; you're sure to find something you'll love! Bidding on the auction is now live!
HWF is 100% volunteer-run and our annual gala is an opportunity for you to support all of the work we do. We are very grateful for your generous contributions!
Wendy Daniels and Catherine McKenney
Our MC: Wendy Daniels
In a radio broadcast career spanning over 30 years, Wendy Daniels has interviewed everyone from Astronaut Chris Hadfield, Dr. Jane Goodall, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, AC/DC’s Angus Young, and the late Clarence Clemons from the E Street Band. Wendy has introduced 100’s of recording artists including Van Morrison in front of 35,000 people at RBC Bluesfest.
Recipient of the City of Ottawa's Community Builder Award, Wendy discovered Helping with Furniture while downsizing her parents' home and wants to spread the word about this fantastic organization. She is inspired by all of the volunteers who help create cozy homes and new beginnings.
