We are excited to be back for another year of our festive fundraising through the Jingle Bell Build. This time we have more ways for you to get creative and be involved in this fun competition!
Firstly we are back with our popular DIY options where you can order a kit online, pick up at your choice of ReStore, build in your own time through the month of November and submit a photograph for online voting and prizes. Categories are: Family/Individual and Corporate/Team, both with great prizes up for grabs!
Also this year is our first ever Build Night Event! Bring 5 people from your organization, build together over the course of an evening at the Ramada Hotel, have the chance to purchase extra goodies for your creation and take your competition down by handing them challenges throughout the evening! All creations will be judged at the end of the night with prizes awarded for the 3 favourite builds.
Rules: You must use the items included in the kit within your build. Houses must be built on a 24" x 24" platform/base. Maximum structure height is 18". Feel free to add other mediums to bring your build to life; cookies, cereal, LEGO figures....let your imagination soar!
The purchase and build phase of the Jingle Bell competition is open until December 2nd at 11:59pm with pick up of gingerbread kids available from November 7th. All builds that wish to be included in the online voting contest must be received by this date. Voting will be open from December 5th to 16th with winners announced on December 19th.
However you choose to participate, it is sure to get you in the festive spirit while also supporting Habitat for Humanity build safe and attainable housing in your community.
Thank you and happy holiday house building!
Together we can make a difference!
