About LakeCity Works LakeCity Works supports people living with mental illness to build on their strengths, take on responsibilities and access work experience, education and employment. As well as our employment support and therapeutic services, we also operate several social enterprises. Draw Location:

The draw to determine the LakeCity Works 50/50 Winner will be conducted on May 10, 2024, at 4:00PM, at 386 Windmill Road, Dartmouth, NS.  

How the draw will be conducted: 

Tickets will be sold from November 10th, 2023 until 20,000 tickets have been sold or until 3:50 pm May 10, 2024. Tickets will be $25.00 each or 5 for $100.00 and there is no limit to how many tickets may be purchased by an individual. Tickets will be sold online through Trellis (https://www.trellis.org/lakecityworks) or can be purchased from LakeCity directly at the retail store at 386 Windmill Road, Dartmouth, NS B3A 1J5. All tickets sold will be finalized by LakeCity Works on May 10, 2024 at 3:50pm. 

How Winners will be determined: 

SIX EARLY BIRD PRIZES: near the end of each month starting in November, and until the end of April 2024, an officiant of the LakeCity Works 50/50 Lottery will draw one ballot through use of random number generator. The Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or by email. Winners will have to provide photo ID in order to claim the prize. One ticket purchase required to be included in both the 50/50 draw and the early bird draw. 

Restrictions (Sponsors/ family members): 

The following, including their spouse and any related or dependent person residing in the same household, are prohibited from purchasing a ticket: The LakeCity Works Board members and LakeCity Works’ staff. Purchasers must be at least 19 years of age. Tickets must be purchased in Nova Scotia. Total retail value of the prizes is approximately the sum of the early bird prizes ($8,915.00) selling price, plus the estimated $200,000 50/50 prize. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible; all prizes are not taxable. 

Prize claim requirements: 

The Winner(s) will have 90 days to claim their prizes. In the case of the Grand Prize; once the prize has been claimed the winner will have an additional 90 days to coordinate claiming the grand prize. 

Winners consent to the use of their name and photograph by the licensee for publicity purposes. 

The order in which prizes will be awarded: 

SIX EARLY BIRD PRIZES: To be drawn at the end of each month. 

November 30th, 2023: One Blue TV Stand made by LakeCity Woodworkers valued at $2055. 

December 20th, 2023: One Playhouse/Bookcase made by LakeCity Woodworkers valued at $780. 

January 31st, 2024: One 4 Drawer Blanket Box made by LakeCity Woodworkers valued at $840. 

February 29th, 2024: One Red Deacons Bench made by LakeCity Woodworkers valued at $800. 

March 29th, 2024: Two End Tables made by LakeCity Woodworkers valued at $1840. 

April 30th, 2024: One Mission Corner Buffet made by LakeCity Woodworkers valued at $2600. 

Grand Prize: Half of the income generated from ticket sales (excludes donations). 

The procedure if the Winner cannot be located: 

If the Winner(s) do not claim their prizes within 90 days, they will forfeit their right to the prize(s). After the 90-day period, another draw will take place and there would be another 90 days to claim the prize. If the Winner(s) do not claim their prizes within 90 days they will forfeit their right to the prize(s).
