This will support impactful Library programs like My First Bookshelf, which helps families build home libraries and develop a lifelong love of reading. It will help activate spaces like Engine 23 at Fish Creek Library, a dynamic play-and-learn space that will attract families from all over the city.

A constant dialogue of images, thoughts, and voices. Larger-than-life figures performing awe-inspiring feats. Dreams that come alive in rich, full detail. Stories that show as much as they tell.
Lit Gala 2023 on Saturday, October 21, shed light on the new and the unusual with vivid clarity. It was a graphic experience, celebrating dynamic and transformative storytelling. We were delighted to welcome guests back to Central Library for a truly enlightening and colourful celebration. Proceeds from the 2023 Lit Gala will support free, accessible and high-quality children's programs, services and spaces at Calgary Public Library.
