Our Entertainment

The Vivacious Ventriloquist Show!

Martin Short says - “Hands-down the best ventriloquist I've seen. I loved the subtlety-really funny and

unpredictable. Level of ability is wildly impressive! Really, really a good ventriloquist."

Norma McKnight and her hilarious cast of characters enthrall audiences around the world, on cruise ships, at festivals, casinos, comedy clubs and corporate events. Norma’s outstanding ventriloquist techniques were showcased on The Comedy Network and featured in an international Coke Zero Sugar television

commercial “Nailed It”

Ventriloquist Norma McKnight cleverly combines

ventriloquism, comedy, improvisation, audience

participation and music too! This show is a must see!

Our Dream Programs

Our Mission: To improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and

economic empowerment.

Many of our award recipients have told us that one of the biggest changes in their lives stemmed from

knowing that a strong community of successful women believed in them. When you educate a woman, you change a generation.

Live Your Dream Award financially supports women in our community who want to obtain the skills, training or education necessary to improve their employment status and standard of living for themselves and their family. Past recipients, many of whom have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, domestic

violence, and drug/alcohol abuse, have used the awards to offset costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education.

Violet Richardson Award is a recognition program for young women 14-17, and the award is given to a local girl whose volunteer activities make the community and world a better place.

Ruby Award is given to a local woman who best

represents the values of Soroptimists and

contributes to improving the lives of women and

children in Surrey/Delta. As part of her award a

financial donation is made to a local charity of her choice.

Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls targets girls in secondary school who face obstacles to their future success. It provides girls with access to professional role models, career education and the resources to live their dreams.
