Our Local Impact
Meet Joi, Ashley, Mary, Andrew & Les as they share their local stories and how United Way supported programs have made a difference for them...
With 30% of our local food bank users under 15 years old, 1 in 5 of our community members suffering from some form of mental health challenge, over 7000 Okanagan seniors living in poverty, and 600+ people living on the streets or in precarious housing in our region....we ALL need to be in this together to support prevention programs and find solutions.
When you show your local love for your community, you help create pathways.....so that everyone can thrive.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE: so what does United Way actually do?
Most importantly, every dollar raised locally stays in your communities. Thanks to your generous support, United Way makes a huge impact in so many regions like ours in the Southern Interior of BC
Invested in total across Canada by United Ways in their local communities each year, to improve lives through programs for kids, teens, families and seniors.
United Way donors, volunteers & staff working to change lives & help people move forward.
Community based programs offered or supported by United Way to help those in need who may fall through cracks.
Individual Canadian communities, including rural and remote areas, served by local United Ways just like us in the Southern Interior of BC.
How will you ?
