Layne The Auctionista and Rebecca Alfred from Trellis Social Enterprise Inc. wanted to find a way to share their vast experience and help individuals progress in the fundraising space. What better way than hosting an action-packed Fundraising Masterclass with experts from the industry! With years of experience, Layne The Auctionista has helped charities raise millions of dollars. Rebecca Alfred helps organizations find unique fundraising opportunities. She has supported hundreds of organizations as they run fundraisers with specialized expertise in signature fundraising events and donor experience.

Layne The Auctionista is a fundraising powerhouse devoted to “moving the dial on philanthropy.” Layne’s distinct value is loyalty, determination, and desire to bring best practices and proven strategies of the Benefit Auction world to clients and business partners.
Rebecca Alfred (she/her)
Rebecca is part of the team at Trellis Social Enterprise Inc, supporting charitable organizations, hospital foundations, non-profits, and other organizations to find new online approaches to raising funds for the causes they care about.
Liz Rejman
(she/her)
Through her work experiences, Liz has been involved in all aspects of fundraising - from signature events, direct mail campaigns to major gift strategy and volunteer management. In all those areas, she has implemented systems for greatest success and sustainability.
Michelle Paonessa (she/her)
Michelle Paonessa is the Fundraising Events Officer at Children’s Health Foundation. In her role Michelle works on planning major signature fundraisers for the foundation to raise money for Children’s Hospital, CHRI and TVCC. She graduated from the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Program at Fanshawe, and also graduated from Wilfred Laurier with a double major in Philosophy and Communications.
Mark Awad (he/him)
Mark Awad is Director of Business Development at bb Blanc Inc. With over 16 years in the events industry, Mark has managed trade show & exhibit programs and experiential activations for a variety of corporations and reputable brands across North America. At bb Blanc since 2013, his focus has been to educate companies, event managers and producers on the importance of audiovisual technology and creative production value. Mark has been an integral part of the growth at bb Blanc, building partnerships with some of Canada’s top organizations and associations.
Heather Nelson (she/her)
Founder and President at boutique fundraising consultancy, BridgeRaise, Heather and her team help nonprofits raise more money from companies by prioritizing aligned values. Heather is a 20+ year fundraiser, corporate partnership expert, mentor, teacher, tree person, and a dog and hockey mom!
