The Men's Health Initiative

Connect Counselling & Therapy Society has been a part of the Central Okanagan community for over 30 years. Recently their range of services have included group drop-in sessions & individual private counselling designed specifically for men. In the climate of COVID 19, these sessions are in demand more than ever. Connect needs to urgently build capacity to deliver more services free of charge to those in need. The stress on men who may have experienced trauma in the past, is increasing dramatically. Financial, work, family, & relationship pressures are heightened dramatically with the current health crisis. Mental health & addiction challenges will rise significantly in coming months. Housing & food security will be real issues for many more community members...& not just those visibly vulnerable, but for your neighbours, co-workers, friends and maybe family too. Let's make enough services available NOW, because when we support the men of our communities, we also support the partners, children and families they love too.
