About Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo began in 1977 when a student of the Doctor of Medicine class found themselves facing unexpected medical costs. Their classmates took it upon themselves to raise money that would make attending medical school more accessible for this student. Students in the Memorial University Faculty of Medicine have continued to organize this fundraising initiative, resulting in financial support for over a hundred local charities in 44 years.

Our pre-show starts at 7:00pm NST, with the full live event will begin at 7:30pm NST, live streamed from the Quidi Vidi Brewery taproom. Our host for the evening, Keith Power, will take us through the 1920s style entertainment provided by Spirit of Newfoundland!

We have partnered with local restaurants who will be offering takeout for the evening, as well as Quidi Vidi Brewery who will have some unique offers for the night. This is a great opportunity to make MC your own, sit back, relax, and enjoy an hour and a half of local entertainment, special guests, and silent auction excitement. See sections below for more details.
