Hi friends! On April 24th, I'm running 50km in support of the Central Okanagan Foodbank. A not-so-anonymous donor (me) has pledged to match every donation made up to a total of $2000. So this is an opportunity for us to make a really big impact together. Thanks for your support!
The Central Okanagan Food Bank assists in upwards of 4,000 individuals every month, 33% of which are children under the age of 15, and another 12% are seniors living on a fixed income. As the COVID-19 virus continues to unfold, and more businesses are forced to close, there may be an additional impact on the Central Okanagan Food Bank, and an increase in the number of community members requiring their assistance. As a community, we need to stand together in solidarity and help those who need it the most. Financial donations are most needed, as the food bank has a much greater buying power at the grocery store level than we do.
$1 donated = $3 worth of food
For every $1 that's donated to the Central Okanagan Food Bank, they can purchase $3 worth of food. With the limited amount of food available, every little bit helps.
Your contribution will help fuel triple the amount of good that can be done.
