Sandra Wiles - Triptych "The Magi"

I was inspired by a new generation of owls in my neighbourhood. The wood grain determined where the foliage and owls would emerge on these orphaned cabinet doors. My vision of a brighter future is for communities that value stewardship over profit, and ‘green’ initiatives that do not involve cutting down more trees. Animals, birds, insects and plants aren’t pests, they are necessities.

I am an artist (B.F.A., M.F.A) and a librarian (B.A., M.Sc. L.I.S.) with an interest in all things and all disciplines in both art and sciences. My work has been shown in the Sooke Fine Arts show, AGGV rentals, UVic, and in shows in California and Arizona. I paint in any medium from miniatures to murals and on what ever surface that needs a transformation.
