Anita Doornekamp - Sunflowers

Flowers brighten everything. Complex creations, hardy yet delicate, beautiful yet purposeful. Everyone deserves a safe and comfortable life, with a little beauty for spark! Encaustic painting is hard and stable, but not to be exposed to flame, heat, or direct sunlight. Buff with a soft cloth if the wax looks cloudy.

Anita holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Printmaking specialty from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. She taught high school art for over thirty years, with a two-year break to teach Junior Kindergarten. And she knits. Anita arrived in Victoria from Napanee, Ontario in 2002.
