Emily Carr’s wind swept trees continue to move my soul. I want to explore my own take on vibrant colours and Vancouver Island landscapes. I envision a future where we all become forest defenders. We must protect old growth trees.

Sheila Thomas painted herself as Emily Carr. Then she thought: “what would it take to become her?” She converted a 1960s school bus, quit her job, packed up her poodle and hit the road. Sheels on Wheels was born! She settled in her bus in Shirley BC, where she teaches art on the same land Carr did! www.sheelsonwheels.art
