Peachland Hub Project

The Peachland Hub is a project to create a new home for many of Peachland's non-profit community service groups. The Hub will build on the existing 50+ Activity Centre to create an energy efficient complex to provide vital services to Peachlanders for decades to come.

The Hub project was born of necessity as several community service groups (including the Peachland Wellness Centre, the Peachland Food Bank, Peachland Community Policing, and the Peachland Lions) are soon to lose their current homes as they are demolished to make way for a second tower of the Peachland Seniors Residences.

Current participants in the Peachland Hub Project are: Peachland and District Retirement Society, Peachland Wellness Centre, Peachland Food Bank, Peachland Community Policing, Peachland Lions, Rotary Club of Peachland, BEEPS, Peachland Ambassadors, and Peachland Chamber of Commerce.

The Hub project is being driven entirely by the non-profit groups that will make use of the facility. This includes all designing, planning, construction, and most importantly, fundraising for the project.

The Hub project is a truly ambitious effort with estimated costs for the main Hub building at $7.6M and the Annex expected to cost on the order of $500K - $600K. The participating non-profits are responsible for fundraising this entire amount.

The funding is expected to come from three sources – approximately 58% from grants, 25% from donations, and the remaining 17% from fundraising activities of the groups.
