Power of Giving Gala
This year’s Power of Giving Gala will take place both virtually and in person on Saturday, September 24th along the beautiful waterfront of Discovery Harbour in Penetanguishene. The Foundation is so grateful for the continued support of our event partners, and are proud to have Faris Team Real Estate Brokerage as our presenting sponsor for the 2022 Power of Giving Gala.

What To Wear (In Person)
This year's Power of Giving Gala aims to give guests a relaxing and inviting experience. The dress code can be described as attending a garden party or semi-casual wedding. While the basics stay the same, this is a great time to loosen up and get more adventurous with colors!
Make sure to plan your shoe choice accordingly, opting for some flats or wedges - you don't want to get your heel stuck in the boardwalk!
What To Wear (At Home)
This year's Power of Giving Gala aims to give guests a relaxing and inviting experience...and since you'll be watching from the comfort of home, pretty much anything goes! Don't be shy to break out the bunny slippers, cozy blankets or even a housecoat!

Meet Our Live Artist
Alexandra McLaughlin is a self-taught Canadian painter who’s current work is reflective of her connection with Georgian Bay. Using vibrant colour and layered brush strokes, she intuitively works her way through each piece until its depth and composition are reminiscent of this special place she calls home. Alex works from her home studio in Midland (or out on the islands), allowing her to maximize precious painting time and be the present mother she has always wanted to be.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support GBGH, as having a well supported, local healthcare system is truly essential to our community’s wellbeing. Having worked as a paramedic previously, I know first hand how rapidly the medical field evolves/improves and how beneficial it is to keep up with this development.” ~ Alex McLaughlin
