Oktoberfest 2022

We asked our community what fundraising event you would like us to host once we were able to celebrate in-person again, and OKTOBERFEST was the clear winner! This much-loved event has been a Hospice Society event since 2015, and we are so happy to welcome you all back to the Pitt Meadows Heritage Hall for a night of FUN and fundraising! Your ticket includes a full traditional German dinner, along with delicious vegetarian options, live music and dancing with the Oktoberators! And of course the Silent and Live Auction, Costume Contest and the very popular stein holding competition!

Raffle Rules of Play
Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older and located in BC at the time of purchase. If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor’s parent, legal guardian or trustee. Keep the ticket until a winner is confirmed. The winner must have their ticket to claim the prize. The winner is responsible for the cost of shipping/delivery, if applicable. Additional rules may apply. Be sure to check each draw's rules before purchasing tickets.

What's New for 2022?

This year, purchases of admission tickets, your 50/50 tickets, donations, and bidding on the silent auction will ALL be through this page. People can purchase their 50/50 and place bids for silent auction through this easy-to-use platform, so do make sure you bring your phone or device to the event!

**We will have our techy volunteers on hand to assist with your purchases to ensure you can participate in this very important fundraising!

Why can't I find my 50/50 tickets I purchased on-line?

Can I still purchase them at the event?

A: If you haven't received your 50/50 tickets, please check your junk or spam folder, if you still cannot find your tickets please contact us at info@ridgemeadowshospice.org, and YES you can still purchase 50/50 the night of the event up until about 9:15pm as the draw will be at 9:30pm. Purchases can be made through your phone or device on this page, or we will have volunteers on hand to assist you.

How do I join the auction?

You can start bidding once the auction opens on-line. We will have the items from our silent auction for display at the event, but ALL of the bidding on items is done virtually through this page!

How do I bid on an item?

To bid on an item, click the “view and bid” button. If this is the first time you are bidding on an item in this auction you will be prompted to enter your email address and create a password to login to the auction. You will also be required to add in your credit card details to place a bid. Once logged in, you can bid on as many items as you wish!

How do I bid anonymously?

Bidding anonymously is easy! Sign up or log in to create your account. Once logged in, click on your name in the top right corner. Select My Account and look for the checkbox to Bid Anonymously.

When do I pay for the item I won?

It's done automatically! When the auction closes your credit card will be charged for any won items, based on the card details you shared before you placed your first bid. You'll be notified of this charge to your account by email and text notifications.

How will I know if I’ve been outbid?

When you are outbid on an item, you will receive an email letting you know you’ve been outbid. You also have the option to enable text notifications for quick updates or browser notifications.

How will I know if I’ve won?

When the auction is closed, everyone will receive an email notifying them if they won an item or not.

How will I know when the auction starts and ends?

If you sign into the auction before it begins, you will receive an email when the auction begins and another email when the auction closes.

What happens if two people bid the same amount with automated bidding?

The first person to set up their bids with automated bidding will win the item when the auction closes. We'd encourage you to set up automated bidding early so you have the best chances of winning!

What are the additional fees at check-out?

These fees are charged by Trellis for the use of their fundraising platform. The fees are optional at check-out and you can choose to pass them onto the Hospice Society instead. Thanks again for the support!
