Dzazi

Male

Terrier, American Pit Bull/Rottweiler/Mix

“Hello everyone of the two-legged world, my name is Dzazi! FYI my name originates from Zulu origin and means “Wise or know yourself”. This is an accurate description of who I am and how my foster family feels about me! I am “wise” because I have never had any accidents in the house, I am very polite even when it’s mealtime, and I can spend time by myself without getting into any mischief. Also when I grow up I want to be a long haul trucker because every time I go for a ride in a car I pay very close attention to how my foster family drives and I can spend all day looking out the windows to watch the world go by!The second meaning of my name is “know yourself”, and I know what I like and what I do not like. I know I like car rides as well as walks, cuddle time with the family, playing fetch (or watching my foster parents play fetch…Ha! Ha!), and mealtime. Wait, there is one other thing that I really love…rabbits and cats. However, I’m not too sure what I would do with them if I ever caught one, but I certainly love trying to get their attention!

The only thing I know I do not like are other dogs…for now. My foster family have been helping me trying to stay calm when other dogs are nearby, but I still need help with this.

So that’s it! You know some things about me and now it’s time for me to know some things about you! I would love to meet you in person. Please reach out to my foster family and they will arrange a meet and greet for us! Four legs rule!” – xo, Dzazi

Lunette

Female

Domestic Short Hair

Lunette is a very sweet and loving beauty!

She is very soft and loves to be around you if she isn’t laying in the sun. She is learning from the resident cat that other animals aren’t so scary, but Lunette seems to enjoy keeping to herself. Her favorite spot to sleep is the pillow right beside you – you will find her there all night with you.

If you are interested in adopting Lunette, please fill out her application today! She is the most sweetest little girl you will ever meet.

Teila

Female

German Shepherd/Mix

What a special girl! She came to us scared, hungry, and tired as the mom of 8 beautiful healthy babies. What a fantastic mom you are, Teila! You have come a long way since we first met. You have a beautiful personality that just wants to be part of a family. We appreciate your trust and willingness to try. You were always loving even on day one. Your playful, joyful side is showing more each day and we could not be more proud you.Teila is such a loving girl and so willing to please. She is intelligent, athletic, and so very loving to her people. She will just melt your heart! We are working on her feeling comfortable on a leash which has come a long way, but will need someone willing to continue working on her confidence. Ideally Teila would do best in a home that is willing to work together in a group class. Working with a trainer is such a great way to start a bonding relationship.

“Hello, my name is Teila. I just finished being a super mom raising my 8 fabulous babies. My foster family thinks I did such an amazing job keeping them safe and healthy. I am sure glad that is my last litter though, it was so much work! I want to tell you a little about myself in hopes that I find my perfect forever home.

First of all I love treats! I will do almost anything for those yummy treats. I am a active girl that loves to play with you and go on long walks. I really appreciate my humans and all the kindness, love, and food they share with me, so I try to tell them with all my happy wiggly body language. I do have some skills and manners that I am working on. I am a smart girl, so it won’t take me long to be at the top of the class. I would really enjoy taking a dog skills class as it will help mold me into the best girl I can be.

I would also love to have a fully fenced yard to run and play as I tend to get the ZOOMIES especially in the morning. The leash is a new thing for me, but I am working hard to feel comfortable. I sometimes get worried, then excited, when I see another dog. My fosters give me space when we come across another dog on our walks, this allows me to feel calmer and I am able to watch the other dogs from a distance. I have come a long way with leash walking and would like a forever home that is willing to work with me to get to my full potential.

I live with a family with older teens and their resident dogs. I would be happy in a home with another dog (as long as they are calm) or without. I play happily with a buddy or on my own. I sure love to zoom around with those squeaky toys! Ideally a dog of similar size in the home with me and that has good dog manners would be a good amtch. I will need to be introduced with proper dog greetings (AARCS Behaviour team is very helpful). I do get excited easily, so I feel young children or small animals would not be a good fit for me.

I am so looking forward to meeting my forever family, I have so much love to give.” – xo, Teila
