Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan 40th Anniversary Raffle

The Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 by families and friends of people with schizophrenia.

Our Mission

To improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and

psychosis through education, support programs, public policy and research.

Funds raised will go toward many types of programming such as:

-The Partnership Program- a stigma busting initiative that educates people about what it’s like to live with a mental illness. This includes where to go for help, how to decrease the stigma that surounds mental illness, and spread the message that recovery is possible.

-The Family Recovery Journey- educates families and caregivers and helps provide tools for managing the impact of psychosis on their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

-Peer Support- Peer support is an evidence-based approach that helps reduce hospitalizations, crisis service use, and it has also been shown to help increase the proper use of medications. A peer support worker helps individuals by using their own life experience and knowledge.
