Spinal Cord Injury BC's 50/50 Raffle

From Feb 14 until Mar 18, SCI BC is hosting a 50/50 fundraiser to help raise funds for our Peer Support and Information Services Programs. These programs help the 12,000 British Columbians living and aging with spinal cord injuries and related physical disabilities receive the support and knowledge they need to live well and be active participants in their communities. 


The winning ticket will be drawn on March 19 at 10:30am PST and the lucky winner will receive half of the final amount raised from ticket sales (with the chance to win up to $10,000). Any donations made are not included in the 50/50 jackpot total - these come directly to SCI BC.


*The lucky winner must email Krystyna Pangilinan at kpangilinan@sci-bc.ca to claim their prize. Prize must be claimed within 30 days.

Raffle Rules of Play

I. TICKET DETAILS


A. Purchase Price of Ticket(s)

10 for $50.00, 25 for $100.00, 1 for $10.00, 4 for $25.00


B. Maximum tickets being made available for sale will be

"50/50 Draw": March 19, 2024 at 10:30 AM

50% of ticket sales.


Winner may take a maximum amount of $10,000.00

II. METHOD

Only 1 draw where winner will receive 50% of ticket sales raised during the ticket sales period. The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing the GPEB registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG). The winner shall be announced to all participants via electronic notification.


III. ELIMINATION OF WINNERS

There's only one draw to be conducted, no subsequent draws after that.


IV. AGE LIMIT

Must be 19 or older to participate.

If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor’s parent, legal guardian, or trustee.


V. CONDITIONS & ELIGIBILITY

Participants must be located within the province of British Columbia at the time of ticket purchase.

The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the raffle:

All employees of the organization associated with the management and execution of the raffle, and all of the organization's board members.


VI. ANY OTHER RESTRICTIONS TO THE WINNING PRIZE

The organization is not responsible for difficulties arising in contacting the winner due to the winner entering erroneous contact information at the time of purchase. If a person believes they are a winner and haven't been contacted by organization staff, please email kpangilinan@sci-bc.ca or call 16043261222.

Winners are not required to be present at the draw location.

Winners consent to the release of their names by the licensee.

VII. CONDITIONS FOR UNCLAIMED PRIZES

Winners have 30 days to claim the prize. Unclaimed prizes will be donated to the foundation approved by GPEB.


VIII. PURCHASING TICKETS

Tickets can only be purchased online.

CRA considers raffles as lotteries since the chance to win is the main motive for the raffle ticket buyers. Therefore, official donation receipts cannot be issued for raffle tickets.


IX. COMPLAINTS

Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: kpangilinan@sci-bc.ca. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.


X. DELAY IN DRAW

Should a delay occur in the draw time on draw day, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible. Should an alternate day need to be announced, after approval by BC Gaming, all ticket purchasers will be notified via email.
