A bit about our Telethon + Silent Auction and Why Its So Important to the OSNS:

Our Centre is partially funded by the provincial government. The rest comes from grants, fundraising and from generous donations from individuals and businesses in our community. Every year for the past 41 years, OSNS Child & Youth Development Centre hosts a signature fundraising event, our Share A Smile Telethon & Silent Auction.

With the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the majority of our community fundraising events that are vital to funding the OSNS have been cancelled. With that, OSNS has struggled to meet its fixed cost obligations. This year alone, two child development centres within the province announced they will be ceasing their autism treatment programs because of funding challenges.

2020 has been a year full of unexpected changes and continued perseverance. Like you, we have worked hard to adapt in this ever-changing world. To ensure the safety of the communities we serve, we knew that this years' Share A Smile Telethon would require some re-imagining this holiday season. With that, we have created a completely virtual event that our community can enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

On Sunday November 22nd from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, we want you to dress up in your coziest pyjamas and join us online! This years' Telethon is presented by our friends from Shaw Cable 11 and will be hosted by Chad Mielke. The evening will feature local talent, family impact stories, a tour of our centre, raffle draws, surprise guests and our amazing online silent auction!

We have seen firsthand the amazing things that happen when caring communities come together to support an important cause. We are so grateful for your past and continued support and cannot wait to connect with you virtually! Join us! !
