Spring it Forward Food Drive
Seaway Mall is proud to announce the annual launch of the Spring It Forward Food Drive. This initiative aims to assist three prominent organizations in the community: Open Arms Mission, The Hope Centre, and Holy Trinity Church of Welland.
The Spring It Forward Food Drive will take place in the Seaway Mall from May 1st to May 8th, with a special “drive-thru” donation day on May 4th in the front parking lot. The community is invited to participate throughout the week by dropping off donations to help "fill" an entire unit with essential items such as: cereal, beans, pasta, diapers, and other canned goods or essential hygiene items.
You can also donate online to help us reach our fundraising goal. Your donation will be used to purchase food and hygiene items to fill the shelves of three food banks in Welland. Double your impact! Donations will be matched up to $15,000 by Elevate Living.
Together, we can come together to support those who need it most. A little or a lot, it all adds up!

Are my financial donations secure?

Why are extra fees added to online donations?
We selected Trellis because of their low-cost fees for collecting online donations. We do not pay a subscription fee to use the digital tool to collect online donations, instead there is a 2.5% fee charged added to the donation. In addition, you will be charged standard credit card processing fees. Stripe fees with major credit cards are 2.45% + $0.30 per transaction.
Are there other ways to make a financial donation?

Or you can make an in-person cash or TipTap donations at The Seaway Mall between May 1 - May 8 during mall hours.
Where can I drop off donations?

We will be setup in the empty unit beside Hallmark (Suite G10) and can be dropped off during mall hours
Who do I contact about tax receipts?
The Hope Centre is the lead charity responsible for collecting the funds and issuing tax receipts. All donations will be distributed among the three food banks.
