Probably not—it's new! Let us fill you in:

THREE major food banks in Welland have come together with Seaway to challenge the community to raise food and essential items BY FILLING AN ENTIRE UNIT in the mall from! That's Open Arms Mission, The Hope Centre, and Holy Trinity Church. Our goal is not just to raise food, but to raise awareness and spread hope at the same time!

Lunch for a Child

$25.00

33% of food bank users in Welland are children. Help make sure children have what they need to learn, play and grow. Your donation of $25 provides lunch for a child for a week.

The Need

$50.00

Food Banks have served 59% more people so far compared to last year. Your donation of $50 helps meet the growing need.

Meals for a family

$100.00

Families with school-age children is the biggest group seeking out food bank services in Welland. Your donation of $100 will provided needed emergency food for a family of four for a week.

Where do I bring my food?

The unit we chose is located inside the mall (800 Niagara St) beside EarlyON. It has 2900 square feet to work with and is lined with shelving from floor to ceiling. We can't wait for everyone to see how their contributions "stack up"

What are the most needed items?

Kids lunch items like granola bars are very needed. Any shelf stable item is appreciated. Please check dates to ensure the donated items are not past their best before dates.

Can I mail in a donation?

Yes, you can mail in a cheque to Open Arms Mission 22 Fifth Street. Welland, ON L3B 4Z3 and earmark Spring-it-Forward.

Charitable Tax Receipts

The Seaway Mall has partnered with Open Arms Mission to issue tax receipts for online donations. All donations will be equally distributed to Open Arms Mission, The Hope Centre, and Holy Trinity Church.
