Stay at Home Vegas: Where the HOUSE always Wins!

Vegas is a 24-hour city, which means that when the sun goes down, the party is just getting started. No matter what kind of experience you are looking for, from a fancy three course dinner, an old Vegas crooning, to a mind blowing magic show, a heart-racing cirque performance or busting out your signature dance moves, you won’t want to stop until the sun comes up...

The Rotary Club of Kelowna's Fundraising Committee is excited to announce "Stay at Home Vegas: Where the HOUSE always wins!" This year's online event will take place on April 29th from 7:00PM to 8:00PM with a Virtual Reception to follow. This is a 60-minute fun filled, fast paced, action packed fundraising event that will leave you needing a nap!

We aim to raise $150,000, with most of the funds being used to kick-start Phase II of the Bridge Youth Recovery House, a purpose built 16 bed facility on 1-2 acres of property with classrooms, a fully equipped exercise room, art room, music studio and a kitchen so that the participants struggling with addiction can learn basic life skills, cooking skills, learn to re-establish relationships and thrive.

A portion of the funds raised will also support scholarships, youth programs, education & literacy programs and mental health services.

Thank you for helping us BRIDGE the gap!

Meet YOUR EmCee...

Danny Hooper is enjoying a remarkable ride! Born in Edmonton, Canada and raised on a cattle ranch near the tiny hamlet of Tomahawk, Alberta, Danny knew at an early age that his passion was in the entertainment world. In the decades since, he has parlayed his unique personality and off-beat sense of humour into an award winning career and thousands of on-stage performances as a recording artist, keynote speaker, award winning media personality, comedic emcee and celebrity fundraising auctioneer.

Las Vegas Showgirls...

If you've decided to take a trip down to Vegas, one of the staples of Vegas nightlife is the showgirls.

Vegas showgirls parade around in high heels, colourful boas and dance to their hearts' content. Vegas is their playground, full of glitz, glamour and phenomenal costumes.

Locally, Tina Joslin of Oranj Fitness had a vision to empower

women to be confident in their bodies on and off stage. She wanted women to feel comfortable being sexy and classy at the same time, while having the opportunity to perform onstage in a small community and so in January 2014 "Femme Fatale Dance" was born! Trust us when we say this performance will leave you stunned!

Circus Circus

Before Cirque du Soleil set up shop, the acrobats and aerialists were the biggest draw in town. Located in the heart of Vegas lies the Big Top, where Circus acts perform on the Midway Stage as part of the World's largest permanent Circus.

On April 29th you will be entertained by Kinshira. The name

"Kinshira" means "poetic movement" by combining the words

"kinetic" (movement) and "shira" (poetry) found in the Hebrew language.

They will fly through the air with the greatest of ease and grace the ground floor with fire, acrobatics and the cyr wheel... Awe and wonder are always just within your reach when watching Kinshira! They will bring the "Big Top" experience to you with their beautiful displays of classic circus acts!

Support a Great Cause

"Because of the current opioid crisis coupled with the fact that there are not enough live-in youth treatment options in our region, the Rotary Club of Kelowna feels that kick-starting Phase II of The Bridge Youth Recovery House is an urgent community need. We thank every attendee, sponsor, partner, performer and volunteer who will help us make this evening a success!"

-Lenetta Parry, President, Rotary Club of Kelowna
