About TeleMiracle

The Kinsmen Foundation was established in 1971 and granted funds raised by local Kinsmen and Kinettes. When requests for assistance exceeded available funds, planning started in 1976 for a province-wide telethon as a major fundraiser and the first TeleMiracle was started in Saskatoon in February 1977.

Where are we going? Higher!

TeleMiracle is a 20-hour telethon broadcast live on CTV throughout Saskatchewan and livestreamed on our website. It's hosted by 9 celebrities, most of whom are from right here in the province! It features around 80 performances from local talent, on-air presentations of donations, bequests from estates, corporate sponsors, and hundreds of Kinsmen and Kinettes volunteering their time to answer the calls as the province comes together to "Ring Those Phones!" with even more KIN and Production volunteers working behind the scenes!

Despite Saskatchewan only having a population of around one million people, the generous residents of the province have helped us raise over $153 million since 1977!

Our 47th TeleMiracle starts at 9 pm on Saturday, February 25th and goes all the way through till 5 pm on Sunday, February 26th, 2023. You can also watch the Countdown to TeleMiracle on our website starting at about 6:15 pm on February 25th, 2023.

Benjamin's story

It was just before Christmas when first-time

parents Christine and David Bernakevitch of

Regina learned their baby would be born with

pulmonary stenosis, a life-threatening cardiac

condition. Four days after his birth, baby

Benjamin was transferred to Stollery Children’s

Hospital in Edmonton for surgery.

The stress and worry over little Ben’s

health was coupled with the anxiety over

how much the travel to Saskatoon and

Edmonton would cost.

“We were approved for funding before

heading off to Edmonton,” states Christine.

“It felt like we were taken care of by people

we didn’t even know and it felt wonderful.”
