Twist on Tasting - Virtual Edition

We are raising funds to Re-Leaf our West Kelowna and Westside Communities!

In pre-COVID years, our Rotary Club hosted six of these wine timed-tasting festivities that both wineries and guests enjoyed. Guests were divided into groups; each group started at a different winery table (with a Rotary host to guide them); a bell range to start the wine presentations; and after 5 minutes we rang the bell again for every group to shift to the next table in the circuit.

With COVID restrictions still in place we can’t use that format, and since everyone is weary of isolation, we thought we would get spirits up (pun intended) with a Twist on Tasting via Zoom. Once you buy your tickets ($50), we will have your sample tastings ready for pick-up on the afternoon of the event, along with some snacks. Then you'll be able to join us that evening to visit with 6 different wineries from throughout the Okanagan - all from the comfort of your own home!

Twist on Tasting Virtual Event:

7PM – Rotary MC and President Welcome

7:15 - 9:15PM – wineries present for 10 minutes each, 2 wines per winery, plus guests’ Q&A; MC adds short video segments, reads chat-room questions from guests, and generally runs the show.

9:15PM – MC thank-you to participating wineries and guests, reminder to go visit the wineries and/or their websites to support their businesses; Rotary President signs off.
