This event will include a live, virtual presentation from award-winning professional actor, writer, director and producer Omari Newton, followed by a panel discussion with experts:

  • Dr. Sabrina Jafralie Ph.D. (panelist): Educator and Consultant and Activist.

Overture with the Arts
Overture with the Arts (OWTA) is a non-profit organization based in Montreal, offering a wide variety of programs in arts, culture, and diversity. We not only give our students the resources to excel in the arts but to also have a voice in their community through leadership, volunteerism, community involvement, and more. Using the arts as a vehicle for education, OWTA incorporates multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary elements to foster an environment of learning, sharing and, of course, fun! Drawing on the passion and talents of our team of facilitators, OWTA provides engaging workshops, guest speaker sessions, industry mentorships, and performance showcases.
