Unity Project

Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness in London provides housing-outcome focused emergency shelter, supportive housing and in-home housing stability supports for adults and youth of all genders, with a focus on those with medical conditions, including couples and people with pets. A Housing First approach is embedded throughout Unity Project services as providing housing with supports is proven to rapidly end homelessness, reduce use of public and emergency services, and improve individual quality of life and community integration. Values of respect, cooperation, interdependence and compassion inform our character. Housing outcomes drive our services. We aim to make a stay in our shelter as comfortable, productive and as short as possible — helping all those in our care to end their experience of homelessness, and find stability and belonging in community.

Museum London

In the heart of Southwestern Ontario, at the forks of the Deshkan Ziibi / Thames River, Museum London sits in a place that has always been a site of convergence, exchange, and interconnection. By activating art and history, Museum London creates deeper understandings of our past, our communities, our place in the world, and the breadth of possibilities that our future holds. Taking our region and its rich cultural, artistic, and historic legacies as a jumping off point, we co-create, reflect, and interpret ideas and stories rooted here, share them widely, and inspire local audiences by bringing relevant artistic ideas from other places home to London. Through exhibitions, our vast collections of art and artifacts, public and educational programs for learners of all ages, and memorable special events, we are building community and nurturing curiosity, creativity, and empathy. Admission to the Museum is free and everyone is welcome!

Organized by
UPwithART
Since 2019, Unity Project and Museum London have joined forces to conduct UPwithART in a collaborative partnership. Together, we interweave arts, culture and social justice into the fabric of a healthy, vibrant community. UPwithART was mounted by Unity Project in 2005 and again in 2007 as a grassroots gala to celebrate and showcase the many artists among Unity Project residents, staff, volunteers and founding members. It came of age in 2011 as an annual event and earned its reputation as London's best arty-party silent art auction fundraiser with a diverse roster of emerging, established and senior artists joining in support.
