Welland Food Drive

The people of Welland have been generous to help their neighbours in need for 28 years. Over the last couple of years, the need has never been higher. Our local food banks have seen significant increase in the number of Welland residents in need of help and food.

Last year, you were as generous as ever and donated $82,145 to help your neighbours when they needed it most. We are asking you to be generous again and donate financially online or by donating non-perishable food at Club Richelieu on Saturday, November 6. The money raised and food donated will be divided among the three food banks in Welland, The Hope Centre, Open Arms Mission and the Salvation Army who will distribute the food throughout the year.

We need your help to make sure that no one goes hungry. Your food donations are appreciated by the thousands of people who depend on our food banks, whether you donate non-perishable food items or financially. Because of greater buying power, food banks are able to stretch a dollar. Your donation of $1 can buy $3-4 dollars worth of food when the food banks leverage their buying power and get discounts from food suppliers.

Lunch for a child

$25.00

33% of food bank users in Welland are children. Help make sure children have what they need to learn, play and grow. Your donation of $25 provides lunch for a child for a week.

Groceries for a senior

$50.00

Vulnerable seniors have been greatly affected by COVID. We have seen a 200% increase in food bank use by seniors in Welland. Your donation of $50 provides groceries for a senior for a week.

Feed a family

$100.00

Your donation of $100 will provided needed emergency food for a family of four for a week.

Milk for a month

$500.00

Milk is one of the least donated items, but one of the most appreciated items by our clients. Your donation of $500 ensures that one of our food banks can offer milk for one month.

The funds donated to the Welland Food Drive, are collected by The Collective Impact Foundation and then the funds will be distributed to The Hope Centre, The Salvation Army and Open Arms Mission. For every donation made through this website, Collective Impact Foundation will email you a charitable tax receipt in the amount of your donation. Your receipt will read THE COLLECTIVE IMPACT FOUNDATION WELLAND FOOD DRIVE KELOWNA BC. Please rest assured, your donations end up at all three Charities - The Hope Centre, The Salvation Army and Open Arms Mission.
